Occasional Observations

Yes, having a BlackBerry has changed my life. Mainly for the positive, too. Here’s some reasons why:

·         I went on my first business trip for years without a laptop, but managed to keep in touch (did my presentation from the PDA, using mobile PPT, which was another first. In this case it was important since I was talking to a company involved in the mobile enterprise)

·         My expenditure on hotspot usage has decreased dramatically, although my cell bills are higher, even with a data plan

·         I’m not lugging my laptop to and from work so often and then logging in again in the evenings – as I know what’s in my mail

And that’s really the killer USP. I know what’s in my mail. Now I’ve got the spam and newsletter filters working, and I’ve got used to having always-on (if I want it) email, I’ve returned to reading books during the commute (when I am on the train, not so often when driving) . So there is a life beyond a BB.
